Harry Potter Movies

Is it me, or do these movies just keep getting better?
We just got the newest Harry Potter movie, because we missed it at the theater (darn!). I really enjoyed it, and it seems like they just keep getting better. Of course, the actors keep getting older, which is nice for the story, but the effects and such keep getting better too, which isn't always the case for films.
Some of the effects in this show were the best, compared to the other films, such as the Dementors, and that crazy double-decker bus from Hell. I also liked the map that showed where everyone was, that was sweet and really well done.
I was glad Harry finally got away from that awful family, too. The characters have become like friends, and I think the casting they did was just excellent, everyone seems to fit their roles really well. We have watched some of the special features on the DVD, too, and I was quite disappointed in the series we watched. It was a group of interviews, and each one had that ridiculous talking head in the interview. It was almost painful to watch, it was so silly and contrived. We stopped watching that series, and haven't watched the rest, so I don't know if they are any better or not. We did also watch an interview with the author, J.K. Rowling, and it is interesting to see how much control she has over the production, and just how detailed her knowledge is of the background of the stories. She really did create an alternate world, just like J.R.R. Tolkein, and I think these stories will have quite a place in history.
The DVD itself is great, with excellent sound and picture. Sometimes it seems like they just slam DVDs together, without a lot of thought or extra effort, but this one is great, with tons of extra features. I'd recommend this DVD to anyone who loves Harry, it is just as good as the other two films, and makes me really want to see the next one.
